My Haikus

Comfortable bed
A tiny dandelion
Enjoying the thread

Unfriendly April
A faithful, sticky dog drops
Enjoying the tree

I don’t like haikus
But I will do one for a
Smile on someone’s face

I think of you in
The soft heather of my heart
Rest gently tonight

Into the blue bowls
Of my eyes coins of sunlight
Spread through my body

Lilac crushed by toes
The scent of you in the breeze
Brings me to my knees

Like a birds feather
A hand caresses my neck
My eyes close softly

J.F.K. was shot
in black and white my cake was
in color – it sank

(this is a freestyle haiku)
